What is a Professional Organizer?

Professional Organizer is an individual who can help you take control of the clutter in your life. Professional Organizers work closely with clients to develop custom solutions using experience, expertise, and the desire to create the best solutions for each individual client.

How will a Professional Organizer help me get more organized?

Professional Organizer can provide an objective and custom solution for your organization challenges. By working with a Professional Organizer versus a friend or family member, you will be working with a professional who will listen to you and focus on the changes that you want to make in your home.

Choosing to hire a Professional Organizer can be a life changing decision. It signals that you are ready to change something about your lifestyle and your home, and you are trusting a professional to help you through that important process.

Should I clean up my space before you arrive?

We ask that you leave your home exactly as it is now so that we can understand your current organizing needs. We know you may be tempted to tidy up and put things away, but please rest assured we are perfectly comfortable seeing your home cluttered – and we are looking forward to helping you get organized!

My house is a mess, I'm really nervous about anyone seeing it!

We understand and respect the fact that you are inviting us into your home. We know that whether you can’t wait for us to arrive, or you are nervous about allowing anyone to see your home, you are allowing us to become part of your personal space. We will always leave your home in a better condition than when we arrived, and we will always treat your belongings with the utmost care. We promise to offer an excellent customer service experience and commit to making this process as painless, fun and efficient as we possibly can!

Will I have to throw away all of my stuff?

No! Our goal is not to come into your home and make you get rid of everything you own. While many clients do hire us to help them de-clutter or downsize the amount of “stuff” in their house, our primary goal is to help you organize your home.

If you want to donate items from your home to a charity or local organization, Hide and Seek Organizing can provide a list of organizations that are in need of donations or help you determine the best place to donate your stuff. We will also take donations to any local organization of your choice and provide you with a receipt for tax purposes, when applicable.

Will I have to buy a lot of new things to get organized?

In most cases, Hide & Seek Organizing will be able to help you “shop” in your own home for whatever organizing tools we may need. We find that many people have the right items in their home already (bins, shelves, etc.) and just need help determining the best way to use them.

As we work together, it is common for us to recommend products that could meet your specific needs in your home. We will never pressure you to buy anything, but believe it is part of the organizing service to make you aware of some of the best organizing products on the market today.

How long will it take for me to get organized?

After completing a free in home assessment and discussing the project in detail, we will provide you with a written project plan that will detail all of the work to be completed, and a good faith time estimate for each area of your home where we plan to work together. The time estimate is based on previous experience in completing similar tasks, but it is important to note that project completion times can be affected by many different variables. We will do everything possible to keep the project on track so that you achieve your organizing goals.

How much does it cost to work with a Professional Organizer?

The initial in home assessment is free. All organizing and shopping services are provided for an hourly fee. Because each job is unique, we will work with you to design the most efficient plan to organize your space. Our goal is to make long term, sustainable changes, which will ultimately save you time and money.

Discounts are available for clients who purchase bulk hours. Hide & Seek Organizing will review all fees prior to starting any organizing job. Payment is due at the end of each session.
